URBAN 2012 - International Photo contest - 3rd edition announcement

Dear "! streetART" members,
We are an italian no-profit cultural association and we would like to announce that our new photography contest has started.
April 1st, 2012 onwards, subscriptions to the 3rd edition of “URBAN - Everyday city life in your pictures (urban.dotart.it/en/index.html)”, international photography contest, organized by dotART cultural association (dotart.it) together with Provincia di Trieste (www.provincia.trieste.it), will open.
The aim of the contest is to capture through artistic photography any landscapes, people, faces, streets, buildings, stills of everyday life and any other elements of the City as a urban environment.
To subscribe and participate, just follow instructions on Photo Upload page (urban.dotart.it/en/upload-photo.html). Works must be submitted not later than May 31st, 2012.
Professional artists, photographers and experts in communication will evaluate submitted works and decide who will be the winner (names of jury members are being defined and will be announced shortly). After contest end, works mentioned by jury will be awarded and exposed in a collective exhibition (location and dates will be announced later on).
Total prize value will be over 2.000 €!

Open call "Silence is a lie" Urban Art festival/exhibition

Hey people!
We are calling to every urban artist to be part in the "Silence is lie" urban art exhibition in Berlin.
"This is an exhibition about this urban art movement that rethinks and questions actual parameters of art without even intending to do so. A movement that breaks the silence imposed by the conformance of the majority, offering its truth about reality through the art.
This exhibition is open to any artist who wants to tell his or her truth.
Just as no words are needed to break silence, there is no need to be obvious when communicating something.
Thus, we do not ask especially for works with political content or focus on social issues but give every artist the opportunity to express his or her vision of the world in his own style or the way he/she likes best."
Finally, the exhibition is going to be a good reflection of how urban artists see the present and how they share that vision with the world.
The intention is to create a bridge of dialogue and communication between different views and ways of expressions, not a contest or a competition. However, we are obliged to select a limited number of exhibition participants due to space limitation. The deadline for apply is the 02/06/12
Artists can participate in 4 different ways;
_ Wheatpaste (paper,cardboard, etc)
_ Canvas,
_Installations, performance
_Stickers!!!! ( you dont need to apply for stickers, send many as you want :D)
This also, is the first step to create a new location for Urban Art in Berlin with the opportunity of a further existence. That is why we need all of you!!!

dear sticky mates,
we organize a sticker-exhibition called stick core running from april 5th at a nice gallery named idrawalot in berlin. if you want to be part of it, please send us your cutted, spray-painted, printed, drawn, or elsewise produced stickers in any size to hit them up for the show.
please send your stickers before march, 23rd 2012.
the stickers will only be used for the event or go to hatch stickermuseum afterwards.
please note that a small part of the stickers will be sold in packs to fix the costs of the exhibition.

I just want to let you know Klebstoff #3 is out now.
If you dont know, Klebstoff is a magazine printed on vinylsticker-material and kiss-cut makes it possible that you can peel off the content from inside. From cover to end everything is a sticker.
The mag contains the work of 22 international artists.
Its limited to 1000 handnumbered copies.
